Sidi Larbi Cherkaouri + Antony Gormley + Monks from the Shaolin Temple

Dates: 30.6.2009 to 4.7.2009. Celebrated Flemish/Moroccan choreographer Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui is one of Europe's most exciting dancer-choreographers. For Sutra he once again joins forces with Turner Prize-winning artist Antony Gormley, who has created a striking design consisting of 21 wooden boxes, which shift and evolve into an ever-changing environment - moving the action from a vast ocean, to the petals of a lotus flower, before smashing against each other with gut-wrenching force. Polish composer Szymon Brzoska has created a beautiful new score for piano, percussion and strings, which is played live.
