Gus Cummins: Invaders

Dates: 12.5.2009 to 31.8.2009. During and following his epileptic seizures, Gus Cummins loses all sense of identity and language, rendered unable to speak or understand a word until his brain reboots. Invasion by an alien presence represents rogue activity in his brain, and society's worst attitudes towards people with epilepsy. Utilising his own medical data as a creative resource, Cummins recorded his brain activity with an electroencephalogram and converted it into a visual and sound composition.
